Summer Reading: MYSTERY OF THE STURBRIDGE KEYS is a Must Read


History reveals that the Underground Railroad was alive and well in 1830’s in the Sturbridge, Worcester and Northampton, Massachusetts area, as MYSTERY OF THE STURBRIDGE KEYS addresses. The Religious Society of Friends Quaker Meeting Houses took the lead in promoting human equality, human rights, and even women’s rights.

Harriet Tubman plays her famous role, highlighted in this book. Harriet Beecher Stowe was also so moved by the prejudice and unfair treatment of other human beings, that she wrote Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Both characters play a role in reviving history, which should not be forgotten. Without conscious awareness of history and its prejudices, history is bound to repeat itself.

Antediluvian history is also addressed in this fiction work addressing issues that continue to affect us today.

The history of Christmas, how Christmas really came to be, and how it evolved with today’s traditions is finally revealed. This is a wonderful, educational book that should be on everyone’s summer reading list.

The First Olympics


The first Olympics took place in the year 776 BCE, with Alexander I, the Image result for picture of first olympicspredecessor of Alexander the Great participating. Alexander I could only participate after he proved his Greek heritage. These great sporting contests took place in the Greek city of Olympia, named after Queen Olympia, wife of King Phillip II. This information comes to light in the newly released historical fiction/fantasy book, MYSTERY OF THE STURBRIDGE KEYS – CHRISTMAS UNLOCKED.

Abe, Greg and Greg’s mother, Sarah, are attending one of the special workshops on the Greek Empire and its effects on Old Sturbridge Village in the 1830s. The evening kicks off with the Christmas by Candlelight celebration, which is celebrating its 70th Anniversary this year. Many workshops take place in the Village buildings.

This trio attends many of the fictions workshops taking place during this special night, by horse-drawn sleigh rides over snow-packed, dirt roads. The Greek Empire explaining how Aristotle is the tutor of Alexander the Great, and Plutarch affect history during this time.

This novel also shed a light on former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama, who in reality are eighth cousins, and both related to English royalty through William the Conqueror and Charlemagne.

Brie’s adventures continue when she and Abby babysit baby Jesus, for two years. They get to see the three wise men who arrive by Bactrian camels. The wise men and Joseph all have strange dreams, so vivid that it motivates the wise men to depart from a different route, and Jesus, Mary and Jesus to flee to Egypt.
