Summer Reading: MYSTERY OF THE STURBRIDGE KEYS is a Must Read

History reveals that the Underground Railroad was alive and well in 1830’s in the Sturbridge, Worcester and Northampton, Massachusetts area, as MYSTERY OF THE STURBRIDGE KEYS addresses. The Religious Society of Friends Quaker Meeting Houses took the lead in promoting human equality, human rights, and even women’s rights.

Harriet Tubman plays her famous role, highlighted in this book. Harriet Beecher Stowe was also so moved by the prejudice and unfair treatment of other human beings, that she wrote Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Both characters play a role in reviving history, which should not be forgotten. Without conscious awareness of history and its prejudices, history is bound to repeat itself.

Antediluvian history is also addressed in this fiction work addressing issues that continue to affect us today.

The history of Christmas, how Christmas really came to be, and how it evolved with today’s traditions is finally revealed. This is a wonderful, educational book that should be on everyone’s summer reading list.

This is a good mystery, accurate history, and dramatic time travel adventure with a 13 year old, female heroine. The worlds needs a vibrate, strong, young female protagonist to be a role model today. Through the experience of history, Brie learns that there is only one race, the human race. She and her family also learn about immigration and slavery.

Time travel adventures bring Brie to babysit Jesus, from his birth until he is two years old, while other family members find out the secrets of Santa’s birth, and their connection to Abraham Lincoln.

Those of you who like fiction and history, with a touch of fantasy, will find this book intriguing. I hope you have as much fun reading it as I had writing it.
